I have this album in my collection. On a scale of 10, I rate it at a 9. While there were some really excellent albums in the 60's, to me, every album in the 50's were excellent! He had such "great material" to work with! The song "Release Me" was below his standards! And yes, I must admit he released a few really fine albums in the 60's, for instance "Italia Mia". To me this was one of his all-time great albums! I have many favorite orchestras besides Mantovani's, some are Frank Chackfield's, Stanley Black's, Percy Faith's, Cyril Stapleton's and yes, The Living Strings with their various conductors and arrangers! In fact, The Living Strings ranks high on my list!

Realmente es muy hermosa su música,se me viene a la cabeza muchos recuerdos e ilusiones que tenía cuando era un niño.
Y ahora en víspera de Navidad,si que me trajo recuerdos a pesar de que no tuve una infancia no muy buena pero si con esta música me hacía olvidar lo que vivía yo y mis hermanos menores.Con está música soñaba de que tenía la mejor infancia,que tenia los mejores Padres y lo principal me sentía feliz gracias a esta bella música,pero los sueños son sueños y había que volver a la realidad,pobreza,peleas,alcoholismo por parte de mi padre y envidia hacia mis amigos y vecinos,los cuales compartían,,se divertían y eran amados por sus padres.
A eso me llevaba esta bella música a soñar a irme a otra vida más hermosa a ser feliz.

Haven't played my Mantovani LPs in many years. Hearing this again reminded me of why I bought them - pure pleasure. Incidentally, in my view the best recorded vocal version of this song is by, of all people, Max Bygraves!
